As one of the potential regions of origin for Tyrannosaurus rex, Asia has long captivated the world with its extraordinary and abundant fossil resources.

In July 2024, a groundbreaking study published in Scientific Reports announced a new tyrannosaurid species discovered in the Nanxiong Formation of Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, China.

Led by Dr. Zheng Wenjie, a research team from the Zhejiang Museum of Natural History formally described Asiatyrannus xui, filling a critical gap in the fossil record of deep‑snouted tyrannosaurids in southern China. Named in honor of Academician Xu Xing, this extraordinary discovery provides key evidence supporting hypotheses about the evolutionary history of the tyrannosaur family.

To celebrate this landmark species, Carson.Long has collaborated closely with the research team of the Zhejiang Museum of Natural History to launch this exclusive special collection set.

Along with the highly detailed Asiatyrannus xui figure, the set includes an officially authorized collector’s booklet from the Zhejiang Museum of Natural History, exclusively endorsed by Zhejiang Museum Cultural & Creative.
