Famous worldwide for its towering frame, robust build, and immense pulling capacity (with mature individuals reaching a shoulder height of 180 cm / 70.87"), the Percheron holds a storied history as a medieval warhorse and heavy transport mount. Having suffered near-extinction through the Industrial Revolution and the heavy toll of both World Wars, the breed today survives primarily as a ceremonial riding and show horse, preserved through selective breeding in private ranches across Europe and the United States.

This piece specifically depicts the highly coveted Roman-nosed (High Bridge) breeding lineage. Officially recognized standards permit only two color variations for this strain: Solid Black and Dapple Gray, presenting collectors with an authentically focused color palette.
