Anchiornis huxleyi statue Model Kit 1:2 Scale LEE Studio

【 CONCEPT & PALEONTOLOGICAL BACKGROUND 】
Brought to life by LEE-zhongyi (Lizhongyi Studio), this museum-grade hyper-realistic sculpture captures one of the most significant feathered dinosaurs in history: the 1:2 Scale Anchiornis huxleyi.
Anchiornis huxleyi is a genus of small, feathered theropod dinosaur belonging to the troodontid family. Discovered in the Middle to Late Jurassic Tiaojishan Formation of Linglongta, Jianchang County, Liaoning Province, China (dating back approximately 160 million years), it is recognized as the earliest known feathered theropod. The exceptional fossil preservation displays clear feather impressions wrapped around the skeletal remains, notably featuring elaborate pennaceous feathers on both forelimbs, hindlimbs, and the tail—a configuration previously unprecedented in extinct species. This milestone discovery fills a critical evolutionary gap in the transition from dinosaurs to birds.
The sculpt is meticulously reconstructed based on rigorous scientific research of fossil skeletal structures and melanosome-derived feather patterns, perfectly capturing a fleeting, natural moment of this nimble creature resting within its primeval environment.
